The Federal Circuit is pushing ahead with its plan to resume in-person arguments at the end of August, but has imposed further restrictions in response to the virus’s latest surge.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit announced in June that it will return to having judges and attorneys in the courtroom after holding arguments by telephone since April 2020.
Revised courtroom protocols issued Thursday reduce the number of attendees each side may have accompany the arguing attorney from two to one. All attorneys must wear masks now regardless of their vaccination status.
