Dairy Queen’s ‘Blizzard’ Trademark Suit Survives

Dairy Queen’s lawsuit accusing W.B. Mason of infringing its “Blizzard” trademarks can move forward, the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota ruled.

The court rejected W.B. Mason’s motion to dismiss the case or move it to a federal court in Massachusetts.

W.B. Mason is primarily known for selling office supplies and furniture, but it also sells food and beverages. The company sells Blizzard brand spring water and distilled water. Dairy Queen alleges that this water infringes on trademarks for its popular brand of ice cream blends.
