American Dairy Queen Corp. says office supplier W.B. Mason Co. is infringing its trademark rights in its Blizzard dessert product by selling Blizzard-branded spring water.
Dairy Queen, which oversees about 6,700 corporate and franchised locations globally, has been using the “Blizzard” name for dairy items for more than 70 years, according to its March 12 complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. It holds five U.S. trademark registrations on the term “Blizzard.”
