CNBC’s Lemonis to Face Trademark Suit from ‘Profit’ Participant

The CNBC reality show host of “The Profit” can’t escape claims that he didn’t have permission to use the trademark of a business featured on the show, according to New York federal court opinion.

Bowery Kitchen Supplies Inc.'s owner alleges that he didn’t have a binding agreement with Marcus Lemonis, the host of “The Profit,” to use the company’s trademarks. The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York said those claims can proceed.
