A federal district court in California granted graph database management systems company Neo4j USA judgment on the pleadings with respect to abandonment and cancellation, in its trademark infringement action against Purethink LLC. Neo4j sued former partner Purethink for infringing its “Neo4j” trademark, and Purethink counterclaimed for abandonment of trademark. Purethink effectively conceded that its cancellation arguments failed to establish a legally plausible claim or defense, according to the court.
