According to the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, challenged claims of Chervon (HK) Limited’s patent for a gardening tool such as an electric power lawnmower aren’t unpatentable as obvious over prior art, in an inter partes review by One World Technologies Inc., d/b/a/ Techtronic Industries Power Equipment. According to the board, the claims aren’t obvious over publications titled “Lawnmower Comprising a Safety Device for Preventing Access to the Rotating Cutting Blade” and “Electric Working Machine,” and prior patents for a lawn mower and safety control, an electric power tool, and lawn mowers including push handles.
