Carmen Electra, Models’ Claims Against Strip Clubs Survive

False advertising, privacy, and defamation claims brought by a group of models including Carmen Electra against two Connecticut strip clubs survived dismissal in federal court.

Mynx Groton and Mynx Hartford may have violated the models’ rights by using photos of them on social media without their permission, the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut said Dec. 26.

The 12 models who sued the clubs have appeared in media including music videos, magazines, and advertisements, and have substantial social media followings.
