10X Genomics failed in its bid to overturn a jury verdict that it infringe patents for devices that amplify genetic material so it can be analyzed.
- Patents are owned by University of Chicago and licensed to Bio-Rad
- 10X had asked the judge to toss the verdict, order a new trial or at least lower the damage award
- Jury verdict was “supported by substantial evidence,” said District Judge Richard Andrews in Wilmington, Del.
The case is Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. v. 10X Genomics Inc., D. Del., No. 1:15-cv-00152, order 7/9/19.
