‘Stairway to Heaven’ Case to Go Before Full Appeals Court (1)

Led Zeppelin won its bid for the full 11-judge U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit to review a decision to revive a lawsuit accusing the band of stealing the opening chords of “Stairway to Heaven.”

A three-judge panel in September gave a second chance to the trust of Randy California, which claimed the band’s 1971 song ripped off the late guitarist’s riff in his band’s 1968 song “Taurus.”
