Auto Group Takes Ford Patent Fight To Supreme Court

An automotive trade group has turned to the U.S. Supreme Court in its long-running clash with Ford Global Technologies LLC over design patents covering parts for the F-150 pickup truck.

The Automotive Body Parts Association, a trade association representing companies that sell vehicle replacement parts, is challenging a ruling from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit that upheld Ford patents on headlamp and hood designs.
