Two Allstate Insurance Co. agents who left to set up their own insurance business must return any copies of Allstate client spreadsheets they possess and never use the information, a federal court in Massachusetts ruled, after finding the pair breached their agency contracts and misappropriated trade secrets.
Allstate didn’t waive its right to seek a permanent injunction against James Fougere, Sarah Brody-Isbill, and their company, and the remedy is appropriate, Judge Judith Gail Dein said Jan. 21 for the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
