Allied Van Lines Settles ‘iMove’ Trademark Case With Website

Allied Van Lines Inc. settled claims that its “iMove.com” trademarks were infringed by the owner of iMoving.com, according to a filing in Miami federal court.

Allied told the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida in June that it has operated iMove.com since 2003, a website where users can get information about the availability and costs of moving companies across the U.S.

iMoving.com also provides resources for finding moving companies in the U.S., and Allied argued that the site’s similar name and services are likely to confuse consumers and infringe Allied’s trademarks.
