Albright Eyes Intel Patent Trial Move to Waco if Austin Closed

U.S. District Judge Alan Albright said he will ship a patent case against Intel Corp. back to Waco, Texas, if the federal courthouse in Austin isn’t open in time for a January trial.

Albright said holding the jury trial in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas’ Waco division, where VLSI Technology LLC originally filed, was a “reasonable response” if the Austin courthouse was unavailable for the trial.
