Brimming European Gasoline Storage Spurs Wave of Exports to U.S.

Europe is awash in motor fuels and that’s encouraging traders to ship the most gasoline to the U.S. East Coast for this time of year since 2008.

Just this week, two more European cargoes were booked that are due to arrive on the East Coast next month, adding to four other recent shipments. Shippers are taking advantage of a premium for New York gasoline over the European equivalent that’s at its widest seasonally since at least the early 1990s.
