Truck Safety Nominee Urged to Reduce Deaths, Bad Actors on Roads

Officials need to do more to address an increase in deadly truck crashes and bad actors on the road, senators told the Biden administration’s choice to lead its trucking agency.

Robin Hutcheson, nominated to lead the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, promised lawmakers she would work to “reverse this unacceptable trend” after seeing a recent spike in fatalities on roads.
