Biden’s DOJ Asks 8th Circuit to Trump Tyson’s Federal Officer Claim

Tyson Foods Inc. was not acting under orders from the Trump administration when it elected to maintain operations as the coronavirus pandemic erupted last year even as some of its workers fell ill and died, the U.S. Justice Department will tell a federal appeals court panel on Thursday.

Tyson, the nation’s biggest poultry processor, raised the Trump orders issue as justification for removing to federal court a pair of lawsuits filed by the families of four deceased plant workers.
