U.S. Urges SCOTUS to Hear Dispute Over Family Planning Rule

A Trump administration rule that prohibits federally funded family planning service providers from referring patients for abortion should get a hearing at the U.S. Supreme Court, the federal government told the nation’s top court.

A circuit split exists on the question of the rule’s validity that the Supreme Court must resolve, Health and Human Services Secretary Alex M. Azar said.
