Trump’s Birth Control Rollback Gets Ninth Circuit Look

An Obamacare requirement that insurance plan offer contraceptive coverage will be in the national spotlight again Oct. 19.

A federal appeals court will hear a challenge from five states to Trump administration rules chipping away at the mandate.

Religious groups, like the Little Sisters of the Poor, view the case before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit as a test of religious liberty, namely, their right to stand by their sincerely held religious beliefs. Much of the administration’s policy is designed to promote those rights.
