That Apple Watch May Show Hackers Your Heart’s Health

Personalized medical devices like the newly released Apple Watch 4 are storing growing amounts of personal data that may not be protected by existing federal privacy laws.

The devices can monitor a wearer’s heart rate and enable consumers to store the results for future use, which may put the data at risk. A hacker can use Wi-Fi to snoop around even if the device is set to disable the sharing of health data.
