Telehealth Is Booming During Covid. Is it Here to Stay? (Video)

The virtual house call from the doctor has been technically possible for years, but regulatory, privacy, and financial barriers have stood in the way of widespread adoption.

That has all changed during the Covid-19 crisis. In an effort to help limit exposure to the coronavirus, federal and state regulators acted quickly during the early days of the pandemic to temporarily ease restrictions on telehealth. Millions of Americans took advantage.

But what will happen when the pandemic is over? In this video, featuring Bloomberg Law’s Ayanna Alexander, we explain how this grand virtual experiment in the nation’s health-care system came to be and look at what might happen when the virus goes away.
