Supreme Court Asked to End Split Over Trump Family Planning Rule

Three national health-care groups Thursday asked the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn a Ninth Circuit decision upholding a Trump administration rule that prohibits federally funded family planning service providers from referring patients for abortion.

The full U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit held that the rule is in line with federal law and that the U.S. Health and Human Services Department acted properly in adopting it.
