Stem Cell Clinic Faces Certified Class Over 100% Satisfied Claim

Consumers alleging a California stem cell clinic duped them into expensive treatment by misrepresenting customer satisfaction narrowly won certification of a nationwide deceptive marketing class.

The claims against Stemgenex Medical Group Inc., Stemgenex, Inc., and Stem Cell Research Centre Inc. arise from an alleged uniform misrepresentation regarding patient satisfaction ratings, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California said June 25.

Selena Moorer, who suffers from lupus, alleges she relied on customer satisfaction statistics posted on the StemGenex website in deciding to purchase stem cell treatment at a cost of $14,900.
