A new Trump administration regulation limiting the amount of information about abortion federal family planning grant recipients can share with their clients should be upheld, states and conservative groups said.

The rule provides a solution to citizens’ growing concerns about taxpayer money being used to support groups with links to abortion, a coalition of states led by Ohio said in a brief supporting the government’s efforts to save the rule.
