A Satanic Temple member lost her challenge to Missouri’s informed consent law for abortions.

“Mary Doe” may not sue the state for allegedly violating her Establishment Clause or Religious Freedom Restoration Act rights, the Missouri Supreme Court said Feb. 13. The court affirmed the dismissal of Doe’s suit.

Missouri’s informed consent law requires abortion providers to give women seeking abortions a booklet explaining the procedure, the opportunity to have a fetal ultrasound, and a 72-hour waiting period.
