Revived Kentucky Medicaid Work Rule Faces Same Legal Challenge (1)

Kentucky Medicaid beneficiaries are suing again to block a re-approved work requirement and premium program for the state’s low-income insurance plan they say must be nixed “for many of the same reasons that it failed before.”

On Jan. 14, the Medicaid participants filed an amended complaint saying the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ unusual re-approval process for the Kentucky HEALTH program doesn’t make the program legal. They say the program can’t be approved because it doesn’t provide more or better health insurance coverage to Bluegrass State citizens.
