Religious Groups Urge Court Not to Send Transgender Bias Rule Back to HHS

Religiously affiliated health-care organizations and state attorneys general who challenged a health-care anti-discrimination rule have asked a federal court not to send the rule back for reconsideration by HHS (Franciscan Alliance, Inc. v. Price, N.D. Tex., 7:16-cv-108, opposition filed 5/4/17).

The plaintiffs, including a group of religiously affiliated health-care organizations and eight states, filed an objection May 4 to a motion by the Department of Health and Human Services for a voluntary remand of the rule.
