Proposed Health-Care Breach Class Action Removed to Federal Court

An information technology provider argues Minnesota federal court is the appropriate jurisdiction for a proposed data breach class action against it and a trio of medical companies.

The lawsuit meets the diversity and amount-in-controversy requirements of the Class Action Fairness Act, defendant Netgain Technology LLC argued in a notice of removal filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.

Counsel representing the plaintiffs and proposed class didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
