Price Checks on Your Health Care Are Part of Wyden’s Data Plan

Looking up the price of routine health costs should be as easy as a price check on a can of peas in a grocery store, the Senate Finance Committee’s top Democrat said.

Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) unveiled March 27 a three-part proposal to help millions of Americans get better information about their health-care costs in a more digestible way. The plan would allow patients to go to a website to figure out how much care would cost them, find the best deal on prescription drugs, and focus on the quality of the care being provided.
