Physicians’ Groups Decry New Hampshire Medicaid Work Rule

New Hampshire’s plan to condition Medicaid coverage on employment will cause thousands of people to lose coverage and worsen health-care outcomes, two organizations representing nearly all U.S. physicians told a federal court.

The American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association are supporting a group that is seeking an order blocking Granite Advantage’s new work rule for Medicaid recipients. The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia May 28 granted their motion to file a friend-of-the-court brief.
