NYC Suburb Defends Anti-Measles Order, Says School Ban Stands

Officials of the upstate New York county that in late March barred minors from public places if they haven’t been vaccinated against the measles defended their emergency order in the aftermath of a court decision temporarily blocking it.

Rockland County Executive Ed Day (R) April 8 protested the decision of a state Supreme Court judge who, ruling late in the afternoon April 5, found the county hadn’t met state-law standards for declaring an emergency when it issued its order.
