Nursing Home Operators Lose Fight for Higher Medicaid Rates

Two Illinois nursing home operators weren’t entitled to notice and a hearing before the state retroactively lowered their daily Medicaid rates, a federal court said.

Heritage Operations Group LLC and Rock River Health Care LLC didn’t have property interests meriting due process protection in the daily rates they submitted to the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services for review before payment, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois said.
