Montana Lawmakers OK Ban on Making Employees Get Vaccine (1)

The Montana Legislature has approved a bill to bar private and public employers from requiring workers to be vaccinated against Covid-19 as a condition of employment.

The Senate passed the measure (H.B. 702) on a 31 to 19 vote Thursday and sent it to Gov. Greg Gianforte (R), who’s expected to sign it. The final version of the bill, which the House approved Wednesday 64 to 32, includes amendments proposed by the governor to address concerns about the bill’s potential impact on health-care facilities.
