Monster Plexx Supplement Ingredients Suit Revived in California

A lawsuit alleging Black Diamond Supplements LLC failed to warn California consumers about a cancer-causing chemical in its protein powder will have a second shot at showing the company violated state law, after an appellate court revived the claims.

In a complaint filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Zachary Stein alleged Black Diamond violated California’s Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986. Black Diamond sells a muscle-building compound called Monster Plexx, but fails to properly warn consumers that it contains Androstenedione, an anabolic steroid, Stein said.
