Moda Health, Land of Lincoln Health Lose Obamacare Payment Fight

Health insurers seeking millions of dollars from the federal government under an Obamacare program designed to pay insurers for covering sicker enrollees are out of luck.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit Nov. 6 said it won’t rehear a combined case in which a three-judge panel rejected two health insurers’ claims for over $12 million. Two judges dissented from the decision not to hear the case, saying all the court’s judges should decide the issue due to its national importance.
