Mednax Says Data Breach Plaintiffs Lack Standing in Class Suit (1)

A proposed data breach class action against Mednax Services Inc. should be dismissed because the plaintiffs lack Article III standing, the nenonatal and health-care company is arguing in Florida federal court.

The plaintiffs’ purported harms are insufficient to constitute the injury-in-fact threshold under Article III, Mednax argued in a motion to dismiss filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
