Medicare, Medicaid Access Vital to Ending HIV, Trump Panel Says

Access to health care—including Medicare and Medicaid programs President Donald Trump proposed cutting—is critical to those with HIV getting treatment and to ending the epidemic by the administration’s 2030 target, a presidential advisory panel said.

The panel included the provision about access to care in a resolution supporting the president’s plan to end the spread of HIV after it was proposed in public comments. The resolution was unanimously approved March 15.
