Medicare Clinic Payment Change Hurts Poorer Patients, Group Says

Another hospital trade group is urging a federal court to overturn a new Medicare rule that reduces payment rates for off-campus hospital clinics.

The rule change will prevent underserved people from accessing high quality, community-based care, America’s Essential Hospitals said in a brief filed Feb. 21 supporting the rule’s challengers.

AEH describes itself as representing hospitals dedicated to providing quality care for everyone, not just those who can afford it.
