A lawsuit challenging the Trump administration’s rewrite of an Obamacare regulation clarifying that the law’s anti-discrimination provision applies to LGBTQ people must proceed, health-care providers told a federal court.
Whitman-Walker Clinic Inc. and other providers asked the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to lift a stay of proceedings the court entered in February to give President Joe Biden’s administration time to review—and potentially revise—the rule.
The plaintiffs originally agreed to the stay. But the amount of time necessary for the new administration to act “has passed,” they said.
