Insurer United Seeks to Block Medicare Advantage Rule

Units of insurer UnitedHealth Group filed suit in federal court, trying to stop the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services from applying a rule governing reporting and returning overpayments under the Medicare Advantage program (UnitedHealthcare Ins. Co. v. Burwell, D.D.C., 1:16-cv-00157, complaint filed 1/29/16).

The complaint, seeking to stop the implementation of the rule and to have it declared invalid, was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on Jan. 29.
