Insurer Launches App for Sick Seafarers Stranded Without Doctors

Marine insurer Gard P&I Bermuda Ltd. released a free app Wednesday to improve health care on commercial vessels following a sharp increase in crew illness and death claims.

The Mariners Medico Guide, which can be used without an internet connection, is specifically designed for seafarers and offers step-by-step guidance on treating crew for physical and mental health issues at sea.
