HIV Advocates Call on Trump to Back Words With Funds, Action

President Donald Trump’s goal of ending the HIV epidemic by 2030 is possible, provided that his talk is backed up by action, HIV/AIDS researchers and advocates say.

“My budget will ask Democrats and Republicans to make the needed commitment to eliminate the HIV epidemic in the United States within 10 years,” Trump said in his State of the Union address Feb. 5. “Together, we will defeat AIDS in America and beyond.”
