Biden Team Seeks to Ax Trump HHS Rules on Guidance, Enforcement

The Health and Human Services Department on Tuesday proposed to withdraw two Trump-era rules that it says have slowed down the agency’s ability to respond to public health threats.

The proposal to repeal (RIN 0991–AC29) would eliminate “unnecessary hurdles” imposed by the two rules “that hinder the Department’s ability to issue guidance, bring enforcement actions, and take other appropriate actions that advance the Department’s mission,” the HHS said in a statement.
