The US Supreme Court settled the fight over the legality of the first-of-its kind vaccine mandate for health-care workers, the Biden administration told a federal court in Louisiana.
The plaintiff Republican-led states are wrong to argue that an unrelated high court decision to curb agency power effectively overturns the justices’ earlier opinion on the government’s Covid-19 vaccine mandate, the Department of Health and Human Services told the US District Court for the Western District of Louisiana on Thursday.
The agency wants the district court to reject a request that it reconsider the matter and dismiss the states’ complaint.
