Faster Treatments Needed as HHS Tries to Close 17-Year Gap

The latest medicines and treatments could get into patients’ hands more quickly under an HHS initiative that aims to cut the lag time between medical research and clinical practice.

The Department of Health and Human Services is considering new resources and public-private partnerships for its ReImagine HHS: Accelerate Clinical Innovation Initiative, which focuses on getting drugs and medical devices to patients quicker.
