One area where Republicans and Democrats might come together on health care policy: prescription drug pricing.
Lowering the cost of prescription medication could be a “sweet spot” for bipartisan change, Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) said April 3 at a forum sponsored by Axios. What’s more, Meadows said his goal is to make a 20 percent reduction in the cost of prescription drugs by next year.
His comments come as his party is trying to follow President Donald Trump’s directive to become the “party of health care.” Meadows said that goal is a “work in progress.”
