A number of physicians and medical specialists will avoid sharp Medicare pay cuts next year under the year-end stimulus bill that the House and Senate plan to vote on.
The bipartisan compromise legislation would also provide a three-month extension of the moratorium on Medicare sequestration payment reductions through March 31.
“The bill throws a lifeline to caregivers by continuing the pause in the 2% Medicare sequester, and making adjustments to buffer the impact of an ill-conceived change in physician payments during a pandemic,” said Chip Kahn, president and CEO of the Federation of American Hospitals, said in a statement Monday. ...
