Roche Diagnostics Corp. defeated an alleged fraudster’s motion to end its suit against him without trial, as there were questions that must be decided by a jury about his participation in a scheme in which he personally made $8 million, a federal court said.
Christopher Shaya failed to convince the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan that there was no evidence he took part in a conspiracy, which allegedly defrauded Roche of about $84 million in profits and rebates associated with the sale of diabetes test strips.
