Health-care workers with religious objections to performing medical procedures like abortion are in the best position to defend the government’s new conscience protection rule, a Christian provider group said.
The Christian Medical and Dental Associations June 25 asked the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York for permission to join the U.S. Health and Human Services Department in fighting states’ attempts to block the rule before its July 22 effective date.
