CDC Panel to Weigh Single Vaccine Doses for People Who Had Covid

The CDC’s vaccine advisory panel will discuss Monday whether people who have recovered from Covid-19 have enough antibodies that they only need a single dose of Pfizer Inc. or Moderna Inc.’s shot, an agency official said Friday.

Nancy Messonnier, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, made the comments in an online Q&A sponsored by the Journal of the American Medical Association.

At the same time, she cautioned that Pfizer’s and Moderna’s vaccines have only been authorized for use with two doses. There’s not enough data at the moment to change...
