Biden’s Obamacare Sign-Up Period Draws Half-Million Enrollees

More than a half-million people have signed up for Obamacare coverage since the Biden administration reopened the federal marketplace in February, the Department of Health and Human Services said Wednesday.

The number of new enrollees from Feb. 15 through March 31 marks a “substantial” increase from 2020 and 2019, when 209,000 and 171,000 consumers signed up, respectively, according to a fact sheet.
